Happy Halifax Aren’t Hung Up On The Table Just Yet

Pete Wild watched his team make it three from three on Saturday - and said he couldn’t care less about being top of the tree!

The Shaymen have beaten Ebbsfleet, Hartlepool United and on Saturday secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Dagenham.

They are the only 100 per cent side left in the National League but the boss appears unmoved by their blistering start.

Wild only took over ten days before the new season began and their incredible first seven days belies the problems they had in the build up to the big kick-off.

Thrilled Wild told the club’s website: “It was another resolute display.

“We’re probably about a week behind every other club and we are finding ways to win. It’s very pleasing.

“We don’t care about anybody else. We don’t care about league tables. We’re just here to work hard. We dug deep.

“We just have to keep putting points on the board. You never know what could happen from there.”

Next up on Tuesday is a mouthwatering match with fancied Wrexham.

“It’s a big test,” he added. “You go there and everybody will be thinking ‘the run will finish’.

“We can go there and get a positive result. We’ll be going there to play our own game. We will see where that takes us.”

Where next?

Rose Ready To Make Sure Hamlet Hit The Heights Gavin Rose knows there’s a lot more to come from his Dulwich Hamlet side.
