First Day Flashback As National League South Gets Going!

It was goals galore on last season's National League South opening weekend - 32 goals were bagged across 11 games.

After a long wait and numerous attempts, Dulwich Hamlet were finally in the National League South.

But they find the going tough as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Steve King's Welling who had bold plans.

Billericay Town were embarking up the leagues and looked at home in their opener - Jake Robinson bagging all four goals without reply at Truro City.

Dartford, Woking and St. Albans City all struck cruel, late blows to bag a perfect start.

Delano Sam-Yorke converted a penalty three minutes from time as the Darts overcame Bath City.

Much the same for Woking's Max Kretzschmar who struck from the spot with seconds left at East Thurrock United.

Dave Diedhiou was on target as the Saints snatched a late win from Hungerford Town.

Who would've known what was to come for Torquay United after their goalless draw against Chelmsford City.

The Gulls would go on to announced Gary Johnson as manager who would lead them to a first title in almost a century.

Concord Rangers' season took off with a hard-fought 2-0 win at home to Gloucester City.

Wealdstone would start a spell of misery for Weston-super-Mare fans who suffered a 4-1 reverse to Bobby Wilkinson's men.

New boys Slough Town recovered from an early setback against Hampton & Richmond Borough to salvage a point.

Defences came out on top as Oxford City played out a goalless draw with Eastbourne Borough.

Hemel Hempstead got going with a 4-2 win over Chippenham Town thanks to a brace from Karl Oliyide.
