Allan Pleased To Be Returning Home To York

York City's Tom Allan says coming back for a second time was an easy decision due to his thoughts on the club.

The York born player joined last week from fellow Vanarama National League North side Alfreton Town, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I really enjoyed my time at Alfreton but now I think it is my time to move on, come back to York, and help them to push for promotion this season," Allan told the club' website.

"Playing football every day will be amazing, I am a completely different player to when I was first here. I was a young lad, learning his trade.

"Four years down the line, I have grown up a lot and I will be more of an influence on the football club this time around."

Allan is a lifelong City supporter and has worked for the Community Foundation in recent years, he said it is clear who he supports.

"Ever since I was really young and playing for the youth team I have always been a York City fan."
