Alexander Knows Of High Expectation Levels At Salford City

The new Salford City boss Graham Alexander says he is looking forward to the challenges he will be facing in the role.

The former Fleetwood Town boss joined the club last month, replacing Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley.

Since then a host of new signings have been made and with the pre-season fixtures all but sorted, they are ready for the start.

"From the first conversations I had, they made it pretty clear about the path the club is on and they want it to continue," Alexander told the club's website.

"It is a really exciting process for myself and Chris Lucketti.

"For the last 30 years I've been in the Football League and above, I think there is a unique story with the club, you look at the detail.

"I think there is a real drive and ambition here, there is a work ethic and a discipline already here."

Alexander knows what will be expected of him.

"There’s a responsibility on our shoulders now to continue that work and hopefully the qualities that we bring will marry well with what’s already here and we’ll get success.”
