Albi Alright! Sarll Goes For Skendi To Lift Glovers

Darren Sarll said his keen eye for non-league talent is what prompted him to sign Albi Skendi from Stratford Town.

A midfielder, Skendi joins from Southern League Central Division side and becomes the Glovers fifth summer recruit.

He was a stand-out performer for Stratford last season who are now managed by ex-Darlington boss Tommy Wright.

Just a day after signing for his new club, Skendi made his debut against his former employers as the Glovers ran out 2-0 winners at Huish Park on Saturday afternoon.

"All my career I've been fortunate to have been able to identify non-league players that can potentially have a bigger and brighter future," he told the club's website.

"He'll [Albi Skendi] be a player the fans will connect with; a wholehearted, give everything for the greater good type player that will play a big part for the foreseeable future."

Recently-relegated Yeovil will start their 2019/20 National League campaign at Barnet on August 3.
