A Little Bit Of Hamlet History Is Made As Fans Get In The Mood

Dulwich Hamlet have confirmed the club’s fans have creased a little bit of history.

For the first time ever the south east London side have sold 500 season tickets inside the first month of the close season.

The incredible total was announced on June 1 - and they hope that supporters aren’t done yet.

Dulwich averaged 1,860 through the turnstiles last season - the third highest in the National League South.

It was a season which eventually saw the club return to Champion Hill and the sold up signs went up on a number of occasions.

The early summer backing is big news as they look to try and progress next season.

Manager Gavin Rose is determined to pick things up on the pitch with the club ending an up-and-down first season in the division by finishing 14th.

He hopes there will be progress ahead and thinks fans could be in for an enjoyable season.

“Every year you want to improve on the one before and that’s certainly what we are aiming to do,” the manager said.

The club have confirmed they play Colchester in pre-season on July 9 then Neil Smith’s Bromley a week later.
