The Stones are through to the National League South Promotion Final next weekend where they will square off with Boreham Wood in the winner-takes-all shoot-out.
Elokobi is hoping to return the club to where they came from two years ago, but the experience is leaving their manager battered and bruised.
They were down to ten men when Charlie Seaman was red carded ten minutes before the end last Sunday with the game level.
The odds were stacked against them with Eastbourne undefeated at home all season.
So when striker Aaron Blair scored a heart-racing 90th minute winner, Elokobi couldn’t help but let it all out.
“I had tears in my eyes talking to the players because I care and I love each and every one of them,” he told KentOnline.
“They’re all winners, they’re here to try and win.
“I know we haven’t won anything yet, because there’s one game to go against a very good side, but you’ve got to look at how we’ve gone throughout.
“We’ve been together and that togetherness, you’ve seen it there, not just as players, as staff, but also connected to our loyal supporters and it’s so good to send them home happy and give them one more day out.
“If you’re going to go all the way, you have to beat the best teams in this league and Eastbourne are one of the best teams,” said Elokobi.
He now wants his leading goalscorer to provide a dagger through the heart of Boreham Wood’s season.
“That’s Aaron Blair - a cold killer,” added Elokobi.
“He’s a tireless worker for the team and you’ve got to admire players like that and you’ve got to admire the entire squad.”
