Eight Games Coming Tonight And One Really Sticks Out!

By Sam Elliott

There’s eight games coming your way this evening across the divisions - and one sticks out more than most.

There’s an enormous match in the Vanarama National League North as the top two go ahead. Will we see the race blown wide open, or will a giant gap suddenly appear?

Tamworth are top and have a dream of opening up a 12-point advantage tonight when they travel to chasers Scunthorpe United.

But the Iron, who boast two matches in hand on their title rivals, know it will be game on if they can end the Lambs four game winning run on the road. Even though Scunny drew at home to Boston United last time out, they won their previous eight at Glanford Park.

Jimmy Dean knows the size of this one and saw his team win the early season meeting 2-1 back in August, pictured.

Elsewhere in the division tonight, there’s a big one at the other end as relegation threatened Banbury United and Darlington meet.

There’s three crucial play-off points up for grabs as Chorley play Alfreron while Hereford are looking to cement their top seven place with a home win over South Shields.

There’s two big Vanarama National League games and Wealdstone’s new management team is complete - David Noble and co aim to get another three points on the board when seventh place Aldershot Town paying them a visit.

Solihull Moors are also in the top seven and will be aware how important inconsistent Dagenham & Redbridge’s visit later on.

There’s also a pair of important Vanarama National League South fixtures and Yeovil Town want to get their advantage back up to 13 points.

This evening sees Slough Town visit, but Rebels manager Scott Davies says his side won’t roll over for the table toppers with his team still in sight of the promotion places.

New Welling United manager Rod Stringer gets his first look at what’s ahead of his as the relegation threatened Wings host Hampton & RB, who need to get back on track after losing their last two.
