Edwards Excited But Admits There Is Room For Improvement

AFC Telford United boss Rob Edwards says he is excited by the club’s “tough” run of upcoming fixtures.

The Bucks have had an inconsistent season so far, winning eight and losing ten of their opening 19 games.

They are just six points off the top seven, however, with games in hand over their rivals.

Edwards’ men start the festive programme with a trip to second-placed Brackley Town on Saturday and the boss was buoyed despite Tuesday's defeat at Blyth Spartans in the FA Trophy.

He told the club’s Youtube channel: “I don’t think there was anything between the sides and it was frustrating to go out.

“There were a lot of good things there and a lot of positive stuff to work on going forward.

“We do need to get better. We’ve got some really tough games now but some exciting challenges ahead.

“I know it’s a real challenge but we want to go and win the game against Brackley on Saturday. That’s what we’ll be aiming to do and working towards.”
