Edwards' Bucks Already Looking A Million Dollars!

New AFC Telford United manager Rob Edwards says he is settling in to the job at the New Bucks Head.

The Bucks have had an encouraging pre-season and his new club beat Sky Bet League One team Shrewsbury 1-0 last night to lift supporters.

Edwards is encouraged by what he has seen since taking over at the end of last month.

He has not had as lost as the other managers to prepare his team for the challenge of the Vanarama National League North but the players have made up for lost time.

“Considering everything I have got to say the players have been fantastic,” he said.

“In training they are great and there’s a good spirit already developed. They have been great.

“I’ve enjoyed it so far, the players are buying into what we’re trying to do. I want to stress that just because we got a really good result against Shrewsbury, that doesn’t mean we’re the finished article. There’s a lot more still do to.

“But nothing brings confidence like winning matches and playing well, so it was a big positive for us.”

Edwards added: “It’s a very demanding league we’re about to play in but we shouldn’t be daunted.”
