Crocombe Extends Port Stay

By Steve Whitney

Max Crocombe has extended his loan with Vanarama National League Southport from Sky Bet League Two side Oxford United until the end of the season.

The U’s stopper has enjoyed regular football, with Michael Appleton pleased with the New Zealand international gaining valuable game time:

“I am very pleased with the amount of game time Max has been getting and the contributions he has made. He is at a key stage in his development so we are delighted at the valuable minutes that he is getting under his belt in a very competitive league.”

Crocombe has made a dozen appearances this season for Port, keeping five clean sheets and helping his side to eight victories.
