Preparations for the play-offs may be in full swing but that hasn’t stopped clubs turning their attention to next season.

While the 18 sides involved in the race for promotion are busying themselves for what’s around the corner, those who aren’t in action right now are getting their squads together.

Two big players in Woking’s season have said yes to next term - former England international Matt Jarvis, 34, and 31-year-old striker Dave Tarpey are staying put.

St Albans City have been very busy this summer - now prolific Chelmsford City striker Shaun Jeffers has joined their attack.

Aldershot have captured defender Jamie Sendles-White, 26, following his departure from Crawley Town. Fellow defender Lewis Kinsella agrees to extend his stay with the Shots while 18-year-old midfielder Reece Wylie has signed a first-team deal.

Winger Ben Usher-Shipway has joined defender Tyrone Williams and goalkeeper Ryan Boot in extending his Solihull Moors stay.

Chorley have signed midfield man Mike Calveley from their National League North rivals Curzon Ashton.

Hartlepool United manager Dave Challinor has more money to work with no - the supporters' budget booster has broken the £20,000 mark already.

Gavin Cowan meanwhile predicts AFC Telford United could have a strike partnership to be feared after Jason Oswell’s arrival - he and Aaron Williams can work some magic in attack, the manager believes.

Last week new Kidderminster Harriers manager Russ Penn did a big deal - he persuaded Alfreton hitman Amari Morgan-Smith to swap the Impact Arena for Aggborough.

Stockport County star Festus Arthur joined Championship Hull City for an undisclosed initial fee.

Elliot Osborne has decided to join Stevenage following the expiration of his contract.
