Chorley Must Fear Us Too Says Barrow Boss Evatt

Barrow don’t have the FA Cup fear factor - in fact manager Ian Evatt thinks Chorley should be equally concerned about them!

The Bluebirds boss accepts a trip to the National League North leaders is far from ideal.

The Magpies are unbeaten all season still and they have only let in five goals in 12 league games.

In one of the ties of the round, Evatt knows many will have this down as a possible upset on Saturday.

Of course last season Barrow bowed out at this stage, stunned by Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

But he told the Barrow News & Mail that concern should go both ways.

“Chorley are a good side who are doing fantastically well in their league and they cause many teams problems, so our players will know that,” Evatt told them.

“They’ll know that they’ve got their work cut out, but so have Chorley.

“I can’t emphasise enough that we are a team in transition that are improving and going places and I’m sure that the Chorley manager Jamie Vermiglio will have done his homework.

“He will know how we’re playing and he’ll be fearful of us as well.”
