Chambers Joins Bluebirds After Leaving The Tigers

Chippenham Town have signed forward Karnell Chambers following his release by league rivals and neighbours Gloucester City.

The 20-year-old started his career with Cheltenham Town and signed for the Tigers in 2016/17 amidst interest from Scottish side Ross County, before impressing on loan at Cinderford Town.

After a spell in Sweden, Chambers returned to City and made a real impact in pre-season before signing a contract with the club for the new season.

Gloucester announced that Chambers had left the club last week after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Despite having featured for much of the first part of the season, squad rotation found Chambers’ opportunities restricted and his desire for first-team football saw him look for opportunities elsewhere.
