Carter Signs New Two-Year Deal

Mike Carter has signed a new two-year deal with Vanarama National League South club Gosport Borough and manager Alex Pike couldn't be happier.

"I'm delighted that he has signed a new two plus one deal," was the reaction of Boro boss Pike after watching combative midfielder Mike Carter pen a new deal.

Carter joined the club in the summer of 2014 after winning the FA Vase with previous club Sholing.

Since his arrival, he has become a popular player amongst his colleagues and the Gosport staff and supporters, winning them over with his fully committed performances in midfield.

There is no doubt that Southampton based Carter has become an influential member of the Boro' squad.

"He's shown a great deal of loyalty and faith," Pike said.

"That is being rewarded with a new contract and a lot of managers in this league rate him highly so I'm looking forward to seeing how he develops from here".
