Bucks Have Big Plans As McGrath Named New Manager

John McGrath says he plans to play the role of entertainer after taking over at Buxton.

He has been appointed after a successful eight year spell as manager at the Bucks Derbyshire neighbours Mickleover.

The club finished securely in 14th last season but hope to improve on that next time out.

Irishman McGrath wants fans to enjoy what they are watching and implement a stylish way of playing come August’s big kick-off.

“The chairman and the board here want success - that is what really attracted me to the club,” he said.

“I hope to be able to build a squad to challenge in the league we’re in.

“I want to play an attractive style of football which I have embedded at my previous club. We want to be quick, fast and exciting to watch.

“We’re speaking to players daily and hopefully we can have a team out that can help us achieve what we want to next season.”
