Bromley Boss Smith Urges His Strikers To Sharpen Up

Neil Smith knows the only way Bromley are going to turn draws into wins is if they start converting their chances.

The Ravens have drawn all three of their National League matches so far.

Unbeaten still, but one-point returns against each of Harrogate, Dover and AFC Fylde is less than what they should have according to their manager.

Smith says his side aren’t playing poorly but is concerned by the goals-to-chance ratio.

They can put that right on Tuesday night when they travel to Eastleigh looking for their first win.

“We are creating opportunities and plenty of them,” the Hayes Lane boss said following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Harrogate.

“We could have been 3-0 up at half-time but we couldn’t get the ball in the back of the net and give ourselves some breathing space.

“The Harrogate goalkeeper has played superbly, but we’ve got to be tucking chances away.

“When you don’t, you always leave yourselves open to the sucker punch and that’s what happened.

“We’re not playing badly but we need to get that first win on the board as soon as possible. To do that we need to put matches to bed.”
