Braintree Point Is Something To Build On For Hawks

Jimmy Dack thinks Saturday's draw with Braintree Town is evidence things are starting to finally come together for Whitehawk.

The 1-1 draw was the first time the club have picked up a point all season.

Following five straight defeats a dark cloud has been hanging over the Enclosed Ground.

But now Dack thinks it is starting to shift after his team's good performance against the Iron, who have themselves made an encouraging start to the next season.

The delighted manager said: "That was a hard working points and I am really happy we are off the mark for the season.

"It wasn't easy, Braintree are a good side - you can see that.

"We took the lead and we then didn't really do enough with it when we were on top.

"Braintree came at us second half like we knew they would be we played well and on another day we could have won it."

Next for Whitehawk it's a trip to Havant and Waterlooville.

"It's another challenge we have got to be ready for," concluded the manager.
