Brackley Take North Title On Dramatic Final Day

By Sam Elliott

Brackley Town ended years of play-off agony by taking the direct route to the National League on a dramatic final day.

The Saints are National League North champions after they won against Farsley Celtic - and Kidderminster Harriers lost at Southport.

Gavin Cowan’s side won’t be enduring a miserable summer this time after creating history - and they won the title in style.

Danny Newton, Tyler Little, Connor Hall and Tommy O’Sullivan all scored before half-time - meaning it was more important what happened elsewhere after the break.

Brackley got the news they needed from Haig Avenue and they win promotion to the joy of St James Park.

The title wasn't the only thing to be decided.

Chorley, King's Lynn Town and Buxton booked their play-off places on a tense final day.

They start on Tuesday - and here's what's coming up.
