By Steve Whitney

Vanarama National League club Barrow AFC have signed former Morecambe right-back Shaun Beeley after he rejected a new deal with the Sky Bet League Two Shrimps.

Twenty-seven-year-old Beeley is rated as “one of the best right backs in league Two” by Bluebirds Boss Paul Cox who described his latest capture as “a quality addition”.

Beeley spent the last two seasons at The Globe Arena having spent most of his career at Fleetwood Town where he rose up the leagues with the Cod Army, including winning the Conference in 2012.

He also was capped by England C whilst a team-mate of Jamie Vardy’s.
