Are Wrexham Now Ready To End Their Wait For A Return?

They are in the play-offs for the first time in five years now Wrexham manager Bryan Hughes wants them to do something they haven’t done in ten.

It’s over a decade since the Red Dragons were in the Football League and the club’s fans think it’s high time they got back there.

After a number of years missing out totally, their season goes into May as they welcome Eastleigh on Thursday night.

The game is live on BT Sport, kick-off 7pm.

Home advantage could be big for the club Hughes hopes, and he wants the fans right behind them.

“It’s a really big night for the club,” he said.

“We haven’t qualified for the play-offs for a while and I’m proud to have helped take the club back into a promotion position.

“Now we want to make the most of this opportunity and go as far as we can.

“This is a critical stage of the season now. All the hard work that has gone on over the 46 games comes down to these next couple of weeks.

“I would ask the fans to turn up the volume and help make Thursday a fantastic night.”

Skipped Shaun Pearson knows what a big 90 minutes is in store.

“We are really pleased to be in the play-offs and it is something the lads should be really proud of -especially with everything that has gone on this season," Pearson said.

"It has been tough going. The lads will down-play it and say you just get on with it as players but it does have a change on things.”
