All You Need To Know About The North And South Weekend

By Sam Elliott

There are big games everywhere you look in the Vanarama National League North and South on Saturday.

You don’t get much bigger that table topping Chorley at home to Curzon Ashton in third, especially after both won in midweek.

Scunthorpe United didn’t and relinquished top spot. The Iron want to get back to winning ways but Billy Heath’s Alfreton Town need to set the record straight after a painful loss to South Shields, who on Saturday play Peterborough Sports.

Kidderminster Harriers and Leamington both had a tough Tuesday - they meet at Aggborough.

Chester and Tom Peers are in form but won’t have it easy at Warrington Town.

Elsewhere Hereford play Rushall Olympic, Needham Market and Scarborough Athletic both needs the points and Spennymoor Town face Buxton.

We also saw new leaders in the National League South on Tuesday night as Truro City, pictured, take over.

The Tinners’ game at Dorking Wanderers is mouthwatering after Marc White’s team scored seven against Hemel Hempstead last time out.

Weston-super-Mare suffered a rare loss on Tuesday and want to put their Torquay United set-back to one side when they face Worthing.

The Gulls go to Enfield Town looking to further increase the heat at the top after they climbed to third.

It’s a trip to Bath City for Boreham Wood while Maidstone United are in form - but St Albans City certainly aren’t. They do have new manager Ian Culverhouse at the helm, however.

Chelmsford City and Slough Town both have play-off hopes and meet in Essex looking to send out a message.

Elsewhere, Eastbourne Borough challenge Chesham United and injury-hit Hemel Hempstead Town hope to end their slump at Salisbury.
