Alfreton's Ambition! Reds Have New American Owners

Alfreton Town are under new ownership - with manager Billy Health and the National League’s longest serving chairman remaining at the club.

Wayne Bradley has handed over control to American businessman William Rush, who has confirmed the National League North club will not be going full-time yet.

Outgoing Bradley will remain in an advisory role, with boss Heath taking charge for an eighth season.

The takeover has been described as an “important milestone” for the Reds, who finished 14th last season after a play-off place in 2023/24.

Bradley, who has been at the helm for 27 years, is to remain in an advisory role and as a director.

“I see Alfreton Town as a club with remarkable heritage, potential, and an incredibly passionate supporter base,” ambitious new chairman Rush said.

“Wayne is a terrific person who has earned the respect of the entire fanbase and club leadership for his strong moral voice and community spirit, and, as a man of shared values, I am grateful he is staying on.”

Manager Heath believes the new era could bring success at the Impact Arena.

“The takeover marks a genuinely exciting new chapter for the club,” Heath said.

“I’m looking forward to building on the solid foundations we’ve laid and working closely with Will and the new ownership to drive continued progress and success.

“The work is well underway to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.”
