Zimbabwean Wing-Back Leaves Solihull

Solihull Moors have announced that Shepherd Murombedzi has left the club by mutual agreement.

Murombedzi advised manager Mark Yates before Christmas that for personal reasons he needed to be closer to his family in Oxford but agreed to play on over the festive period and New Year.

Murombedzi, born in Harari, Zimbabwe, was a late summer signing in 2016 having played for Hayes & Yeading United after he left Torquay United.

He played as a junior for Manchester United before being snapped up by Reading where over a period of two years he made the under-21 squad.

Murombedzi joined Moors as an attacking midfielder but last season he will be best remembered for his prowess as a wing-back.
