Wright Says Late Win Shows Spirit In Darlington Side

Darlington boss Tommy Wright praised his sided for how they kept going after a 1-0 win against Curzon Ashton.

Dave Syers scored a crucial winner with moments to go to keep Darlington's good run going, writes Tom Feaheny.

"It is a great feeling to get the goal when we did, I thought we would create something and we did just that," Wright told the club's website.

"There was an expectation level for the side, we knew what we needed to do and we did it.

"We are on a run of games where fans think we can get the win, we could start a good run, we have 27 points to play for."

This result moves from to within six points of the play-off places but still they are just eight away from the drop zone, Wright says they won't be getting ahead of themselves.

"Complacency will not be an issue for us, we have that positive feeling, we want it to continue."
