Whild waits on thumbs up from key man

Kidderminster manager Gary Whild is hoping to get the thumbs up to play defender Kelvin Langmead in his side's Vanarama National League clash at Guiseley on Saturday.

A heel injury saw the 30-year-old centre back substituted at half-time in last Saturday’s 2-2 home draw with Grimsby Town.

He also missed Tuesday night’s 3-2 defeat at Dover Athletic but Harriers boss Whild, pictured, is hoping the defender will be available for the game at Nethermoor Park to plug the defensive gaps which have cost his side five goals in two games.

Whild said: “Kelvin is one of our more experienced players and I think if he’d have played on Tuesday we’d have got something from the game.”
