What's In Store In The National League South This Evening?

By Tom Scott

Just four games in the National League South this evening – but no shortage of drama.

Dartford’s recent good form was abruptly halted with defeat at Dulwich Hamlet over the weekend and with just one away win since November, tonight’s trip to Hemel Hempstead becomes crucial to their play-off hopes.

The Tudors will have concerns themselves after taking one win since early-December as they look to end a rollercoaster season on a high.

Leaders Torquay will have an unfamiliar feeling in their dressing room at Plainmoor this evening.

The Gulls were shocked by basement boys Weston-super-Mare on Saturday, but Gary Johnson will be keen to put any worries of complacency behind them.

After insisting ‘nobody died’, Chelmsford City are in town and could emerge as dark horses for the title if they can claim victory on the coast.

Weston-super-Mare will be hoping to channel some of their quality shown against Torquay at the weekend.

They need another big performance if they want to get anything from their game with Wealdstone. Bobby Wilkinson’s men are still without defeat in 2019 and have the play-offs in their sights.

Concord have drawn six of their last seven games and they travel to Gloucester City who have seen four 0-0 draws on the spin at the Jubilee Stadium in recent weeks.

Both sides need a win for different reasons – can they break their recent trends and put on a display to boost their aspirations?

Tuesday's National League South fixtures:
Gloucester v Concord Rangers
Hemel Hempstead v Dartford
