Weaver Knows Importance Of Keeping Pressure On City

Harrogate Town boss Simon Weaver says losing top spot means his side now have to be putting pressure on Salford, when they next play.

Town who have been top of the league for most of the season so far, are now a point behind Salford City and that could be up to four before Harrogate next play, writes Tom Feaheny.

"It is a case that we and Salford are both looking at each others results, we know that we have to keep the pressure on them, if they slip up then we are there to pounce to go back to top." Weaver told BBC Radio York

"We have a bit of break now, it's a chance for some of the lads who have picked up knocks to recover from them, we then want to be going into the winter run and really be able to hit form."

"We have players who are putting in great performances, we took a lot of positives from the way we beat Alfreton Town last time around."
