Vermiglio: We Have To Move On And Focus On The League

Jamie Vermiglio insisted he is still proud of his Chorley side after their FA Cup dream was ended by Doncaster Rovers.

The Magpies travelled to the Keepmoat Stadium after forcing a replay with a 2-2 draw at Victory Park.

But it wasn't to be and Vermiglio's men found themselves on the end of a 7-0 score line.

"It's obviously not the result we were looking for or what we prepared for," Vermiglio told the club's website.

"But it's one that we'll take and one where 7-0 is probably a bit steep and it didn't reflect the game.

"We started well the first few minutes and I thought we would have some decent opportunities but credit to [Doncaster Rovers], they were excellent tonight and we were far off it.

"I'm disappointed with tonight but overall there's an overriding feeling of pride for the lads and how they've done, particularly taking a team like Doncaster to a replay.

"We could dwell on things we did wrong but we need to take the positives because we've had a good run.

"The bigger picture is, we've got a league to play for and we really need to fully focud on that now."
