Update on Gloucester Ground Move

Vanarama National league North club Gloucester City AFC have....

...issued a further update on progress towards full planning approval for our new stadium.

Whilst it had been hoped to put the application in by the end of October progress on a couple of the conditions has taken a little longer than expected.

It is of course vital to ensure they are completed to the standard required so taking an extra few weeks is sensible, with the application still expected to go in to the council during November.

The club are expecting this to take a little time to be approved by the council due to the pressure of work the planning department are experiencing so are continuing to work closely with them and do not expect this slightly later application to result in a delay in the council’s deliberations.

The club still expects to achieve full planning permission very early in the New Year.

Meanwhile, the club are continuing to work with the football authorities to maximise the assistance they can achieve from the various funding bodies this work continues in parallel to the planning application.

The club would like to express its continued thanks to the Council and to the many people who are showing huge commitment in helping to bring this hugely complicated project to full planning approval, and ultimately to a return to the City for the season after next.
