Two More Arrive To Boost Braintree Town’s Numbers

Braintree boss Bradley Quinton has capped off a good week of signings with a double signing after Michael Clark and Lyle Della-Verde joined the Essex side, writes Aidan Jones.

Clark, 21, has signed from fellow National League side Leyton Orient and arrives from Brisbane Road after spending two years at the London club.

The defender spent the majority of his contract out on loan at East Thurrock United, from 2016.

Clark made 33 appearances for the Essex club during his time there and scored four goals during his spell.

In between the two loan periods, he was recalled by his parent club in February 2017, and managed to get nine first team appearances for the O’s.

After joining East Thurrock in December the defendermanaged to make seven first team appearances.

Della-Verde joins Clark at Braintree following his departure from Dartford earlier in the summer.

The winger who was a promising youngster after coming through the youth setup at Fulham, and has experience at different levels of the game.

He then went onto make appearances for Bristol Rovers on loan while contracted to Fulham and then signed for Fleetwood Town in 2015.

The 23-year old then made 12 appearances for Crawley Town and Welling United in just over a year.

After moving to Dartford in 2017, where he missed out on promotion to the National League.
