Tuesday Night's National League North And South Preview

By Tom Scott

The FA Cup might be taking centre stage tonight but there are a handful of league games in the offing too.

Alfreton Town and Leamington do battle at the Impact Arena with both knowing a win would boost their chances of breaking into the top seven.

Both sides come into the game on the back on wins. Billy Heath's men beat Nuneaton Borough 3-1 but Leamington perhaps had the result of the day by beating Chester.

Jim Gannon takes his Stockport County side to Blyth Spartans having narrowly continued their unbeaten run with a last-gasp leveller against Brackley at the weekend.

The Hatters haven't lost since early-September buy Blyth Spartans will be bouyed by their own recent good form.

We also have one game in the National League South and some might say it's a 'six-pointer'.

Weston-super-Mare and East Thurrock United face off, both knowing that a win could be huge for their survival hopes.

The Seagulls are already eight points adrift of safety and have just one win to their name all season.

Victory for the Rocks would leave them just two points from Gloucester City with a game in hand.
