Things Are Starting To Come Together For Quinton

Bradley Quinton thinks his Braintree Town team are really starting to develop after grabbing a share of the spoils at Bath City.

Karl Oliyide struck six minutes from time after the Romans surged ahead through winger Sean Rigg, a shot which was deflected into the net.

Quinton believes the point for the Essex club was just reward as they look to continue their fight at the top of the Vanarama National League South.

He told the National League’s Oli Osborn that he is beginning to see the best from the Iron players now the season is really starting to hot up.

“I’m pleased with the boys character to come back and get a point,” said the manager, who returned to Cressing Road this summer after leading Enfield Town to the Ryman Premier play-offs.

“It was two good footballing sides and I think we played some very good football today. It was a Pay What You Want game, and great value for those who came.

“We never gave up and full credit to them for that. The Bath keeper has pulled off some outstanding saves and that’s why he has won player of the month.

“This is always a difficult place to come,” Quinton added. “Considering the conditions it’s a good point - not that we weren’t looking for all three.

“We are starting to reach the levels we need to in this league and I think we are starting to see a couple of gems develop in our team.”
