There's Been Plenty Of Close Season Transfer Business!

By Tom Scott

It's been a whirlwind summer already with plenty of transfer deals already over the line.

A number of our clubs have moved early to bag fresh faces while others bid farewell to their star performers as a number of National League aces caught the eye of EFL clubs.

We've compiled a list of the biggest deals so far.

Harrogate Town have been one of the busiest sides with three new faces arriving in as many weeks. Brendan Kiernan put pen to paper on Saturday – following Connor Hall and Scott Brown to North Yorkshire.

Scott Duxbury swapped County for Coasters, joining AFC Fylde from National League North champions Stockport County.

Kyle Jameson also penned a deal with Dave Challinor’s men after leaving West Bromwich Albion while Serhat Tasdemir departed Mill Farm after Peterborough United payed a ‘substantial fee’ for the youngster.

Hartlepool United ace Nicke Kabamba made his loan stay from Havant & Waterlooville a permanent one as Craig Hignett began his Pools rebuild.

Solihull Moors will be eyeing another title tilt and Tim Flowers made local lad Mitch Hancox his first signing of the summer.

With 27 goals last season, it was perhaps a surprise to see Paul McCallum depart Eastleigh. Rumours are swirling but he’s yet to confirm his next move.

Robbie Cundy bagged a dream EFL move after leaving Bath City for Championship side Bristol City.

Curzon Ashton youngster Joel Senior also found himself part of a huge deal and he’s headed for Premier League Burnley.

Talented Gateshead defender Jon Mellish moved to Carlisle United while Stockport County’s goal ace Matty Warburton moved on up to Northampton Town.

Ian Evatt doubled down to add goals to his Barrow side. The Bluebirds secured the services of Dior Angus and Scott Quigley for next season.

Alan Devonshire is set on a better season with Maidenhead. Not only has he extended his own stay at the Magpies but he's added no fewer than four new faces.

Josh Smile, Chris Dunn and Freddie Grant have all joined in what has been a busy summer so far.

Bromley picked up Billericay Town defender Joe Kizzi. The 25-year-old made the National League South Team of the Season after a string of stunning performances.
