There's A Kosylo Blow For The In-Form Shaymen

Billy Heath admits losing a player who has helped turn their season around is a bitter pill to swallow.

FC Halifax play improving AFC Fylde tomorrow but they must do it without in form Matt Kosylo.

The winger has been in great form and scored a fantastic goal as the Shaymen best Yorkshire rivals Guiseley on Saturday.

He is suspended and that hinders Halifax's chances of building on 7 points - and 3 clean sheets in their last 3 Vanarama National League matches.

Kosylo was red carded during the game with Gateshead but Town held on for a 0-0 draw.

“He’s been tremendous,” Heath said to the Halifax Courier. “He goes through everything he can to play for you, which is what you want as a manager.

“He’s been carrying this glute problem but finds a way to get through it. He also had an ankle problem going into the Gateshead game because he gets kicked that much.

"It’s a big blow to lose him because he’s been fantastic. It took him the first couple of games to get used to the pace of it and how little time you have on the ball compared to the National League North.

“But the last few games he’s been magnificent. He’s been playing at the top of his game, while carrying a couple of knocks.”
