There Has Been A Change Made At Truro City

Truro City manager Leigh Robinson has parted company with the club.

The White Tigers made the decision following their 3-0 home defeat to Chelmsford City on Saturday.

Truro are bottom of the National League South form guide and have struggled for results in recent weeks.

Under Robinson the club have lost four of their last five games. They are now just one point above the bottom three.

City announced in a statement on Tuesday night that their search for a new manager is now underway.

“The difficult decision has been taken to relieve first-team manager, Leigh Robinson, and assistant manager, Michael Meaker, of their duties with immediate effect,” it read.

“We thank them for their efforts and wish them well in their future endeavours.

“A further statement will be made in due course.”

Robinson said after the loss to the Clarets: “It was a simple reminder of how goals change games and how you have to take your moments when they come along.

“In the first half I thought we were marginally the better side and caused them a few problems.

“Both teams created two good chances in the first half; they took theirs and we didn’t. Then at 1-0 in the second their ‘keeper makes a great save from Jared and shortly after they make it 2-0 from a clinical move.

“The final 20 minutes or so were always going to be tough with ten men, so it was a disappointing result for us in the end and one that we need to bounce back quickly from.”
