The Big National League North Golden Boot Battle!

By Sam Elliott

There’s been some big movers since we last checked in with the top scoring players in the National League North.

Reece Styche has jumped up eight placed as the striker leads Darlington’s survival bid after settling in perfectly since joining from Tamworth.

Only league goals count when crowning the Golden Boot winner - and that’s surely a shame for Spennymoor’s Glen Taylor, who would have even more to his name. He’s on 15 after a fantastic few weeks in front of goal.

Every manager wants a deadly forward two and there’s no partnership better that Oli Johnson and Adam Boyes at Bradford Park Avenue this term - they have 14 each and seem to be having their own little race!

But leading the way still in Jon Parkin, who is on course for his best ever scoring season.

With 20 to his name already in the National League North, he’s the one to catch.
