Telford Boss Wants To See The Bucks Come Out

AFC Telford United’s manager is hoping the New Bucks Head purse strings can be loosened in the coming weeks.

Rob Edwards is looking to add to his squad as he feels the Bucks are one or two players short.

Telford have had a mixed start to their National League North season - winning away to York City and Darlington, but falling against Curzon Ashton and at home to Salford City and Brackley.

“We’re not where we want to be,” Edwards told The Shropshire Star this morning.

"I have to keep pushing. I don't think any manager is ever fully happy with what they have. Manchester City have spent £300million and they won't be fully happy."

He added: "I know where we can improve. I'm more than happy with the forward options but we can always improve and be better.

"Any successful team has spirit. Togetherness comes with spending time, winning and losing together. It gets built. it doesn't just come, we have to create it."

Telford face Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday before a visit to Leamington on Monday.
