Sole Finally Gets To Say Goodbye.. Two Years After Leaving!

By Sam Elliott

Giuseppe Sole is to finally get his Woking send off, the club have announced - and this time surely nothing can go wrong!

Sole left the club in 2016 and a testimonial match was arranged with AFC Bournemouth in November that year.

But rain washed away the big game with a large crowd predicted in Surrey.

Now he will get another go, and hopefully Mother Nature won’t stand in his way.

Sole and new-look Woking will take on AFC Wimbledon on July 10 at The Laithwaite Community Stadium.

The striker made 352 appearances for Woking, scoring 111 goals for the National League South club.

League One Wimbledon will provide tough opposition as new manager Alan Dowson starts to build his squad for a shot at promotion.
