Shrews Return for Mangan

Striker Andy Mangan has left Vanarama National League club...

...Tranmere Rovers and signed for Sky Bet League One side Shrewsbury Town on a permanent eighteen-month deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old, who was part of Shrewsbury's 2014/15 promotion-winning Sky Bet League Two campaign, returns to Greenhous Meadow having been at Tranmere this season.

And the Liverpudlian admits there was only one club he could ever leave Prenton Park for.

"It's great to be back," said Mangan. "Once I found out that Micky Mellon had come back in for me this is the only club that I would have left there for.

"I have a great reputation with the fans and staff here, I loved my time here before.

"I've got nothing but good things to say about Tranmere, the manager and the chairman as well.

"I thank them for everything they've done for me and there's no doubt in my mind that they will get into the play-offs and get promoted."
