Shaymen Return For Charles

FC Halifax Town have confirmed that midfielder Dion Charles has joined on loan from League One Fleetwood Town.

Charles is heading back to The Shay for the first half of the 2017/18 campaign, after spending last season with them.

Charles, who can also play in a more advanced position, joins Town until January 6th 2018.

Shaymen fans will mostly remember Charles for his work ethic and pace when driving forward, factors that were crucial to Billy Heath’s plans in the run up to the play-off final victory back in May - not to mention his goalscoring ability - his first goal coming in the 3-0 away win over FC United of Manchester.

Before joining Town earlier in the year, Charles had previously gained National League North experience with AFC Fylde, where he made fifty-two appearances in two seasons before joining Fleetwood in 2016.

The Trawlermen have yet to hand Charles his League debut, therefore continuing his progression with Town becomes key to his future development.
