Shaymen Appoint Wild as their new Manager

FC Halifax Town have appointed Pete Wild as their new First-Team Manager.

Wild had been Head Coach of League Two’s Oldham Athletic at the end of the previous campaign.

During a caretaker spell in the role at Boundary Park, Wild masterminded one of the biggest upsets of last year’s FA Cup, beating then-Premier League Fulham at Craven Cottage.

He takes over from Jamie Fullarton, who resigned earlier this month.

After being confirmed as the new Shaymen boss, Wild told the Club's website: ”I’m really looking forward to the challenge ahead.

"I feel I can draw on my experiences from last season and work quickly to ensure this Club competes well in this division.

“I’ll be looking to draw on the experience of Nathan Clarke, Matty Brown and the other senior pros to ensure they help drive the squad forward.

“This is an exciting time for us all and a challenge we should all embrace”

FC Halifax Town face Ebbsfleet United on the opening day of the season.
