Rowe: Team Spirit Leading Aldershot This Season

Aldershot Town currently sit fifth in the table after they got their first win in five matches.

The Shots were able to pick up three points at the weekend and are just two points off top of the table, but standards are remaining high within the group, writes Tom Feaheny.

Assistant manager James Rowe spoke to the club's website and said despite a small blip in form, they are not looking at the table despite their position.

"The spirit has been outstanding within the group, we are only in September let's see where we are at Christmas but it has been a very good start by everyone here.

"We have had to dig in during certain games, we have shut teams out, we just need to be a bit more ruthless if that is the case we would have a few more points on the table."

Town have seen a host of players pick up injuries but Rowe says that can't and won't be used as an excuse.

"We have been a bit unlucky with players picking up knocks, we won't dwell on it, we are positive, we have young players who have trained for a season and progressed and that is what matters."
