Rowe Fires His Way To Top Scorer

By David Richardson

AFC Fylde striker Danny Rowe is at it again!

The 27-year-old broke the National League North record last season by scoring an astonishing 47 goals and now he's at the top of the scoring charts again.

Rowe bagged a double yesterday to bring up ten for the season as Fylde won 2-0 at home to Torquay United.

"It wasn't a good performance but a brilliant result," said manager Dave Challinor.

"I didn't know he was the top scorer of the league. I wouldn't say he's in great form, regardless of him having a good games, bad games or indifferent games there's always a more than even chance that he'll get an opportunity and stick it away.

"He did that in the first-half, we were poor and got frustrated. To get the second goal, it wasn't a typical goal from him but he got himself in a good area and it's a great header."
