Rovers Move For Rokka

Tranmere Rovers have today completed the signing of winger Elliot Rokka on a one-year contract.

The 21-year-old began his football career in the academy at Manchester United.

He spent a season at Riomaior in Portugal before moving to Macclesfield Town and progressing to feature in the first-team with the Silkmen.

Rokka spent the last three years at Radcliffe Borough and scored 16 goals for the club in 2016/17, his performances earning him the Evo-Stik North side`s young player of the season award.

Tranmere manager Micky Mellon said: “I’m very pleased to be able to bring Elliot to the club.

“He is a wide player who has a great attitude and wants to improve and succeed, and we believe with the coaches and training facilities at our disposal that we can give him the platform to do so at Tranmere Rovers.

“Last season, we lost wide players through injury and were unable to replace them with a similar type of player. We want to have that attacking threat in the wide areas so it is important to have those options available to us.

“Elliot has good running ability with the ball, his fitness levels are good and he’s an exciting player who will create chances and get supporters off their seats.

“He has an eye for goal and is a player we’re excited to be working with.”
Elliot added: “It has been a tough few weeks training with the squad but I’ve really enjoyed it and am delighted to have signed for Tranmere. The lads and coaching staff have been great and I am just looking forward to playing now”.
