Rovers Manager Retains Full Faith In His Out Of Form Players

Considering the situation he finds himself in, Micky Mellon says he hasn't lost any sense of belief in his players.

Tranmere Rovers' season is yet to really start, the pre-season title favourites sit in 18th and home defeat to ten man Wrexham last weekend darkened the cloud of Prenton Park.

But Mellon still insists fortunes will turn around. He wants their campaign to get going with victory over Bromley.

They play a side very good at home this season and the challenge is a big one for a Tranmere side that badly need things to go their way in Kent.

“I believe in them. I believe in the group," said the Rovers manager..

"There isn’t a lot different from last season, the team that was so rampant last year. There haven’t been many or any changes to that. I think it’s just a team lacking heavily in confidence at the minute.

"I think that shows when the first little bit of disappointment goes against us or frustration creeps in.

"That’s what happens to human beings. It’s frustrating for us all, especially us standing on the sidelines.

"The players need support at the minute and that’s the only way to get through it, fight and battle hard and keep believing.”
