Darlington have signed 21-year-old left-back Ben O’Hanlon following his release earlier this week from league rivals Harrogate Town.

O’Hanlon represented England at under-16, 17 and under-18 level while progressing through the ranks at home-town club Wolverhampton Wanderers before signing a professional deal in 2014.

Having joined the club as an under-9, he then gained experience at National League North level through a series of loan spells with the likes of AFC Telford United and at Corby Town and Nuneaton Town where he played under current Quakers` boss Tommy Wright.

O`Hanlon made seven appearances for Harrogate this season.
