Pools Add Power To Frontline As Hignett Does Deal For Toure

Hartlepool United have another attacker to add to their armoury - powerful Sutton United striker Gime Toure.

The 6ft 2ins forward has been tipped by manager Craig Hignett to impress after confirming his move to the north east.

The 25-year-olds has also had spells with Wrexham, Macclesfield Town and AFC Fylde.

“I think you can see by just looking at him that he’s an impressive fella and he has all the physical attributes you need in this league,” Hignett told the club’s website.

“He’s quick, he’s powerful and it’s not just about his size and his strength because he can play; technically he’s very good, he can see a pass and he has lots of football intelligence.

“He obviously gives us something a little different to what we have already. He can play through the middle and also out wide but his pace and power means that when he gets in to his stride he’s a very difficult man to stop.

“The main thing is that Gime needs a home. He has moved about quite a bit during his career but now he needs someone to really believe in him and give him that home. In my opinion, he’s got everything you need to play at a higher level.”
