Poole Launch A Fundraising Drive For Striken Striker

Poole Town are undertaking a fundraising drive to help contribute torwards a vital operation for talented striker Luke Roberts.

The popular forward is expected to miss the entire 2017/18 season after suffering a heartbreaking injury.

He needs to repair his ACL after doing the damage this summer. Much was expected of Roberts this season but injury has put paid to his progress.

A crowdsurfing fund raising page has been created to assist with the costs.

The Dolphins hope to raise £3,000 through the online donation page and get the player of the road to recovery.

Manager Tom Killick was devastated to lose an attacker he says is one of the best players in the Vanarama National League South.

Killick knows the 23 year old is cut up about the prospect of a long spell out but believes he will come back stronger for what has happened.

You can contribute to the costs of getting Roberts back on his feet by visiting the club's official website or the Poole Town twitter account which has all the information you will need.
