Poole Appoint Their First Director of Football

By Elliott York

Poole Town have announced the appointment of Nick Spetch as the club's first director of football.

Nick has long been associated with the club in various roles and is the father of defender Will Spetch.

He has been involved with both youth and senior football in the local area for some years, bringing invaluable experience to the club.

He already works closely with manager Tom Killick, who is very comfortable with the appointment.

Spetch's appointment complements the player development programme recently announced, working closely with Gavin Reeves, Callum Brooks, Dan Herrington and Luke Middlewick.

Already well-known by the first-team players and management, and the under-16 and under-18s, Spetch will be a vital conduit between the coaches and players at each level.

This is especially important with the creation of the development squad to join the Wyvern League for the 2017/18 season.
